Erich Morman, Assistant Professor, received a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics (1996) from the University of Dayton, a M.S. in Systems Engineering & Operations Research (2003) and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering & Operations Research (2013) from George Mason University. Prior to joining DRMI, Dr. Morman spent 17 years with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) supporting various weapon system program offices in the area of Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE). While working for the MDA, he completed his dissertation which focused on applications of reinforcement learning algorithms to improve fiscal year cash allocation decisions. Additionally, Dr. Morman spent nearly two years as a support contractor for the DoD's Suicide Prevention Office (DSPO) conducting measures of effectiveness and data analysis. He joined the DRMI faculty in August of 2017.
