The NPS Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the mission of the Naval Postgraduate School and its students, faculty and staff. Since its inception, the Foundation has provided an opportunity for members of the civilian and military communities to work together for the mutual benefit of national security. Through funding NPS research, recognizing and rewarding excellence, and elevating the student experience, the NPS Foundation provides an opportunity to directly impact our nation’s premier military graduate institution.
It’s official! The NPS Foundation is now partnering with the Naval Postgraduate School to revitalize the alumni association. Under the umbrella of the foundation, the alumni association will go live in January 2019. Managing the alumni association will not only allow the association to engage with NPS alumni from around the world, but will also help the association better support the school’s strategic goals. Dr. Jack R. Borsting served the Naval Postgraduate School in several capacities over his distinguished career in academia and federal service. Dr. Borsting joined the faculty of NPS’ Department of Operations Research in 1959, where he remained for 15 years before becoming university Provost in 1974

A Stafford County business owner has been chosen as the University of Mary Washington’s 2018 Veteran Entrepreneur of the Year.
Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) held a change of command ceremony topside of the world’s first nuclear submarine USS Nautilus (SSN-571) at the Submarine Force Library and Museum, Naval Submarine Base New London, Aug. 6.
NORFOLK, Va. (Aug. 17, 2018) - Lt. Cmdr. Jon Wende, Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command, communications and information systems department head, renews his wedding vows with his wife, Ana, during his retirement ceremony onboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75).
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - A Battle Creek native is expected to be the city's new fire chief. City Manager Rebecca Fleury said Wednesday she has selected Brian Sturdivant, the deputy chief of Petersburg, Virginia, and made him a conditional offer to succeed Dave Schmaltz, who resigned in April.
