86th MORS Symposium

Date: June 18, 2018 to June 21, 2018
Location: Naval Postgraduate School

The 86th Military Operations Research Society (MORS) Symposium will be hosted at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, Calif. from June 18-21, 2018. This year’s sessions will be conducted at the classified and unclassified clearance level with FOUO options. Corresponding portions of the Symposium are open to U.S. Citizens with or without a clearance, and cleared “Five EYES” (FVEY) participants with some restrictions.
The keynote for the 86th MORSS is of the Naval Postgraduate School President Vice Adm. (Ret.) Ronald A. Route, and will include 500+ sessions taking place in 33 Working Groups, 7 Composite groups, Distributed Working Groups, Special Sessions, Demos, Tutorials and CEU Courses over the four-day program.

Cyber Endeavour 2018

Cyber Endeavour is an annual, Department of Defense-sponsored conference that brings together military and civilian practitioners from across government, industry, and academia to address the nexus of cyberspace and national security. Cyber Endeavour is an interactive, working level event for leaders and operators to discuss the most critical Cyber challenges facing our nation and armed services, and to identify potential solutions. Cyber Endeavour is a two-part event that consists of a Leadership Symposium and Cyber-X Games. The Leadership Symposium is 3-days of presentations and panels by authorities from government, services, academia and industry. Cyber-X Games is a co-located 7-day operational exercise where participants are challenged in scenarios relevant to the topics discussed in the Symposium.

Exploring Artificial Intelligence for Space Applications

Date: June 27, 2018 to June 28, 2018
Location: Herrmann Hall

The Center for Multi-INT Studies will be hosting a Technical Exchange “Exploring Artificial Intelligence for Space Applications” on June 27-28, 2018. The event will take place at the Naval Postgraduate School in Hermann Hall.
The Technical Exchange will cover topics on machine learning and deep learning applied to machine cognition and automated sense making for coordinated space systems applications. Presentations and discussions will cover topics in automated sense making where machine cognition is used to distill meaningful knowledge from disparate sources of information. Topics covering how artificial intelligence is used in self-monitoring, recursive design, and detection of an agent’s intent and deliberate behaviors will be examined with a highly focused group of thought-leaders, government experts, and academia.

Human Systems Integration DL Applications Deadline

The Naval Postgraduate School is pleased to announce open registration for the nation’s premier distance learning Master of Human Systems Integration (HSI) degree program and Human Systems Integration Certificate program. Both programs are open to all federal government employees (military and civilian) and to defense con-tractor employees (on a space available basis).

HSI Certificate Program
Program length is one year (four consecutive academic quarters, one course per quarter). Course delivery is asyn-chronous (with weekly assignments). Graduates earn the NPS HSI Certificate!

Master’s Degree in HSI Program
Program length is two years (eight consecutive academic quarters, two classes per quarter) with plans to have one synchronous and one asynchronous class per quarter. Graduates earn an HSI Certificate, the Master’s Degree in HSI, and DAU Course Credits!
