Optimizing the U.S. Air Force

The April 19, 2019 Defense Energy Seminar lecture is titled “Optimizing the U.S. Air Force through 21st Century Tools and Technologies” with Mr. Roberto I. Guerrero, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Operational Energy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Environment and Energy. Ingersoll Hall 122 - 1:00 p.m.

Through modern technologies, a comprehensive data strategy, and innovative ideas, Air Force Operational Energy strives to create an energy-optimized Force that maximizes combat capability for the warfighter. Roberto Guerrero, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Operational Energy, will discuss how his office is working with industry, major commands, and aligned organizations to increase aviation fuel efficiency and develop energy-informed solutions.

Mr. Roberto I. Guerrero, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Operational Energy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Environment and Energy, Arlington, Va. Mr. Guerrero is responsible for providing oversight and direction for all matters pertaining to the formulation, review and execution of plans, policies and programs for the effective and efficient use of the Air Force’s $5 billion operational energy bill in support of its global mission.

NPS' academic programs in Defense Energy are supplemented by a seminar series which provides a forum for leading voices within the field, practitioners, and other Defense Energy influencers.
