“Saudi Arabia: The Strategic Dimensions of Environmental Insecurity” by NSA’s own Associate Professor James Russell appears in the most recent version of Middle East Policy. According to Russell, due to increased carbon levels in the atmosphere, the temperatures in the Middle East are only going to get hotter. This will not only impact the population, but it has political and strategic implications as well.
