Joel Frey, Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy, Lecturer, earned his BS in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina (1999) and his MBA in Financial Management Energy Specialty from the Naval Postgraduate School (2014). Lieutenant Commander Frey was commissioned through Officer Candidate School, and has since served as a Naval Supply Corps Officer. He has served as supply officer onboard Maritime Prepositioning Squadron One and USS PATRIOT (MCM-7) and as aviation supply officer for Strike Fighter Wing Pacific and USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73). He has deployed to the Baltics, Mediterranean, Afghanistan and the Western Pacific. In 2007 he was selected to augment the Army Embedded Training Teams for the Combined Task Force Phoenix in Jalabad, Afghanistan as a mentor to Afghan National Army Logisticians. His tour prior to NPS and DRMI was as Principal Assistant to Logistics onboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73). His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Three awards), Army Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Two awards), and various campaign and unit commendations. LCDR Frey joined DRMI in January 2014.
